Testimony of Truth

The Testimony of Truth is an ascetic treatise that sharply criticizes the Jewish Law and the Christians who follow it. The anonymous author spends most of his time rebuking his theological enemies, including Gnostics who have children and those who’d die in the name of Jesus. In fact, the account is so anti-Torah that it identifies Christ as the serpent in the Garden of Eden. The Testimony of Truth urges believers to live a strict, chaste life free from the desires of the material world.
