Hypsiphrone is a highly fragmentary work that records a conversation between a woman named Hypsiphrone and a masculine divinity named Phainops. Due to the poor condition of the surviving papyrus, much of the narrative is unclear. However, it seems to depict a story of Hypsiphrone’s ongoing spiritual redemption in light of her repeated errors.
