The Acts of Peter

The Acts of Peter and the Twelve Apostles is a narrative in the style of Acts that describes the disciples’ efforts to spread the gospel. Along the way, Peter and the evangelists encounter mysterious figures who offer wisdom and encouragement. In the final scene, the resurrected Christ reveals himself and delivers a brief message of healing and humility. The text encourages the reader to preach the good news in the face of adversity and likely reflects the kinds of stories missionaries told to inspire one another on their missions.
