Gospel of the Hebrews

The Gospel of the Hebrews is a gospel account believed to have been lost less than 800 years ago. Early Christians held diverse views on this text; some considered it the authentic version of Matthew, whereas others dismissed it as a work of Jewish heresy. Unlike the canonical gospels, which were written in Greek, this gospel was written in Hebrew, which diminished its spread within in the Roman Empire.
