The Didache constitutes the earliest known Christian catechism and provides insight into the beliefs and practices of early orthodox churches. Included are ethical teachings, methods of spiritual discernment, and detailed liturgical processes. The Didache urges Christian communities to live moral lives in preparation for the coming judgment.
